SARAC
Established in 1994, SARAC has grown from humble beginnings in a volunteer’s bedroom to a dedicated centre in Burton upon Trent. Originally supporting women, the organisation now provides specialist, trauma-informed services to all individuals over the age of 11 affected by sexual abuse. With a vision of a world free from sexual violence, SARAC works in partnership with clients to expand choices, facilitate recovery and encourage personal growth.
Serrano Media is proud to support SARAC both strategically and creatively, helping strengthen their communications and community presence.

The guide is packed with practical materials and information, including resources for community fundraising events such as bake sales, corporate training opportunities, guidance on leaving a gift in a will, and powerful local statistics that highlight the importance of SARAC’s work across Burton and District.

Beyond marketing, Sophie has represented and supported SARAC at key community events, including Burton Carnival, where we met the Mayor, Kim Smith and the East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire Awards, where SARAC was recognised with the Best Customer Service award. Sophie has also presented alongside CEO Caroline Fotheringham at events to help educate the community and raise awareness of SARAC’s vital work. Serrano Media continues to work closely with the charity, committed to helping them grow, reach more people and thrive.

As an official ambassador for SARAC, Sophie began working with the charity to strengthen their fundraising and communications. One of the key projects was the creation of a comprehensive fundraising guide, a one-stop resource designed to help supporters better understand SARAC’s mission and the many ways they can get involved.

Alongside this, Serrano Media manages SARAC’s social media platforms, ensuring their messaging remains clear, compassionate and aligned with their trauma-informed approach. Ongoing marketing support behind the scenes helps maintain consistency across campaigns, awareness initiatives and community communications.
